A Museum for a More Open City
A bold new cultural landmark redefines what a public space can be.

A bold new cultural landmark redefines what a public space can be.
The museum imagined here places its café, workshop and reading room at street level, with a route through the building that remains open independently of the galleries. A visitor can use those spaces without first deciding to buy a ticket. The architecture treats cultural participation as a gradual invitation.
The design’s success will depend on operations as much as its generous entrance. Opening hours, staffing and the allocation of free space determine whether local residents can make it part of daily life. An open museum is a continuing institutional choice, not a quality guaranteed by glass walls.
