More Open, Inclusive and Connected
Cities are finding new ways to bring people together — across generations, cultures and income levels.

Cities are finding new ways to bring people together — across generations, cultures and income levels.
The neighbourhood programme imagined here gives a community centre longer opening hours and shares its rooms between language classes, repair sessions and youth activities. The timetable is published in several formats so participation does not depend on finding the right social-media group or owning a smartphone.
Bringing people together also means addressing the reasons they may stay away. Accessible entrances, low fees and childcare can matter more than another invitation to participate. The fictional project assesses who is still missing from the room and changes practical arrangements before assuming that a lack of attendance means a lack of interest.
