The Next Chapter for Transatlantic Relations
The institutions, investment and shared decisions behind a more resilient European security policy.

The institutions, investment and shared decisions behind a more resilient European security policy.
The next transatlantic chapter imagined here combines continued cooperation with a clearer acknowledgement of different interests. Europe and the United States can share research, coordinate standards and improve emergency planning while still disagreeing about trade or industrial policy. A durable relationship needs methods for handling those disagreements.
The fictional agenda starts with projects whose benefits can be demonstrated on both sides: compatible charging systems, dependable supply records and joint scientific infrastructure. Such work is less dramatic than a sweeping declaration, but it can give the partnership a practical foundation that survives a difficult political season.
